Some days I feel like a slave to my hypothalamus.  Some days I feel I am the hypothalamus.

This baby was for a group show with the title ” My New Country”, inspired by the Obama momentum.  I then remembered that we all start dealing with citizenship the moment we are born: cultural sets, economies and so on.

I made this little painting for a show opening today at Self Help Graphics. This is the statement I sent with it:

We are all part of an immense chain of events that make the universe the way it is.

This universe that we carry within ourselves will always be playing a part in the score of a larger universe, even when we are dead.

So, in the end, nothing will ever be forgotten because we are already part of the future.

This one is ready for the final touches. May be the star needs to be more prominent.

Yesterday I dreamt of a flying javelina.

We are halfway through our time here in Flagstaff, Arizona. After visiting the Grand Canyon and seeing javelinas, ravens, hawks, finches, blue birds, etc. I got into nature… again. This is a cross between an Oriole and a Javelina. There was also a Mexican night were I cooked Pollo en Salsa Verde. You can get the receipe here: www.daniellara.com/cocina
